Dance Interactive advertised 20+ unlockable tracks at launch. The music pool is a core part of the routine tool — you pick a song, record choreography to it, and submit that piece to competitions. This page is what the studio has confirmed about the music system and what owners are actually doing with it.

The 20+ track pool

The studio has not published a full tracklist. What is confirmed:

• 20+ unlockable tracks exist in the experience
• Tracks unlock through Gem packs, not all at once
• Different styles and genres are represented (contemporary, lyrical, jazz-funk have all appeared on Awards graphics)
• Some tracks are locked behind specific pack drops

If you see a track in someone else’s routine that you do not have, it likely dropped in a pack you have not opened yet. Earn cash and gems has the pack priority order.

How songs work in routines

The routine tool uses songs as the audio backbone:

1. Pick a dancer or group
2. Select a track from your unlocked library
3. Record choreography synced to the beat
4. Save the routine (limited slots unless you have Routine Creator Gamepass)
5. Submit to Nationals or Awards

The studio warned: you cannot swap a song without re-recording. There is no “replace audio” button. If you pick the wrong track, you record again. This makes track selection a planning decision, not a随便 choice.

Category matching for Awards

The Roblox Awards graphic shows category labels like Contemporary Open or Lyrical. These categories are style labels, not strict music-genre rules. But the underlying track matters:

• A contemporary piece needs a track that reads as contemporary
• A lyrical solo needs a track with emotional arc
• If you record a jazz-funk track under “Contemporary Open,” judges read the mismatch

Before you spend an evening recording, check the schedule for the current Awards category. Pick a track that matches before you hit record.

What happens when you do not have the right track

If the Awards category is lyrical but you only have contemporary tracks:

• You can still submit your lyrical piece with an available track
• Your score suffers the category mismatch even if the choreography is strong
• The routine styles page tracks which categories appear most often

Do not force a square peg. Check the category first, then record. Or keep one spare routine in a common category as a backup.

Song swaps and pack strategy

Owners asked how to change a song without losing choreography. The answer is still: you cannot. Record carefully.

For pack strategy:

• If you are missing tracks for a specific category, open packs after Cash is flowing
• Do not open packs specifically for songs if teachers and dancers are still missing
• Tracks are permanent unlocks once obtained
