Run a Dance Studio Early meta tier lists

A brand-new Roblox sim does not have a five-year meta. It has two weeks of public results, official kits, and a lot of owners asking the same question: what should I spend Gems on? This hub is that answer for Run a Dance Studio, written as an early ranking — not a forever gospel.

Dance Interactive already told us the spend targets. Gems open packs that can roll dancers, songs, costumes, and teachers. Cash builds rooms and keeps enrolment running. Competitions pay both currencies and feed ELO. So a tier list here is really three lists:

1. Dancers — who belongs on a solo versus a group, and why real-life featured dancers matter.
2. Teachers — training is how stats rise before you gamble on another pack.
3. Routine styles — lyrical, contemporary, and the Awards categories that actually have a clock.

How we rank while the game is new

We do not invent hidden stat tables. Rankings use:

• Official kit: teachers raise stats, bigger studios earn more, packs cost Gems, Awards need a Solo Nationals and a Group Nationals.
• Public names: featured real dancers (asha, lilkira) that launch into the roster; guest judge Shannon Atkins; Studio of the Month JWDA; early board names Elite Superstars and Ace Dance Works.
• Event pressure: Contemporary Open on the Awards graphic, lyrical called out in pre-launch posts, multiple formations added 4 September 2026.

If a pack screenshot later shows rarity colors or numbered stats, those rows will replace the qualitative ranks. Until then, treat S-tier as “train this first” rather than “this dancer has 99 power.”

Spend order for Gems

Most owners over-open dancer packs and under-train. The loop that actually climbs ELO:

1. Keep Cash flowing through enrolment and comps.
2. Put teachers on your best bodies — see train dancers.
3. Save a solo and a group so you can qualify for Awards.
4. Only then open packs targeting a hole on the dancer list.

Costumes and extra songs are real, and the studio advertised 20+ unlockable tracks, but a costume does not fix an untrained stat line. Songs matter once you are choreographing for a specific Awards category — that is the styles list.
