Run a Dance Studio Launch notes (August 2026)
From pre-launch to Play — what shipped in the live Roblox build.
Run a Dance Studio went from a pre-launch campaign to a live Roblox experience in the last week of August 2026. Dance Interactive (group 610725860) publishes it. This page is the launch bundle: what they promised, what actually shipped, and which later patches you should read next.
Date and listing
- Live: around 28 August 2026 (“OUT NOW ON ROBLOX” post).
- Place: 129244982349741
- Universe: 10390151142
- Genre: Simulation
- Avatar: R15
- Server size: 10
- Price: free-to-play, optional Gamepasses
The experience existed in Roblox’s backend from late June (created 25 June 2026) and updated through 4 September. That is normal for a staged launch. Play the live listing, not a leftover test place. The official teaser short lives on the homepage trailer — we do not duplicate it here.
What they sold, then shipped
Pre-launch posts (7–24 August) promised:
- Build a dream studio
- Train and level students
- Create, customise, and save routines
- Compete worldwide on a shared board
- Climb rankings
Launch-week posts confirmed the earn loop (build, enrol, train, compete, packs) and the Routine Creator Gamepass raising saves up to 10 routines. Cross-server comps were not a maybe — they were a billed feature. Competitions still use that rule.
Roster cameos
10 August: two real dancers joining as Roblox characters — @ashalovestodance and @lilkira_jc, with more reveals promised. That is why the dancer list mentions them. They are launch content, not a paywall.
Gamepass timing
The Routine Creator pass went live with a note that servers may take time to show it. If you joined in the first hours and did not see it, rejoin before you assume it is gone. Creating the studio itself does not require Robux. Details: create a routine.
What launched missing (on purpose)
- No confirmed promo codes at the moment we built this wiki — codes.
- No dedicated scripts — scripts.
- Formation changes were still a comment question on 24 August; they shipped in Update 1 on 4 September.
- Second story how-to also landed in that same update window.
- Dynamic Cameras, friends grouped in comps, and Quest Gems shipped on 31 August — three live features.
If you are reading this after those drops, do not stop at launch. Read live features, formations, and Roblox Awards or you will choreograph last week’s game.
First-week player pain (still valid)
Comments on launch posts are a better FAQ than a datamine:
- Reset studio?
- Rename because of hashtags?
- More teachers and students?
- Mirrors?
- Gems?
- Change song without re-recording?
We answered those in getting started, build your studio, and earn cash and gems without inventing UI that was never shown.
Visits snapshot
Around 5 September 2026 the listing showed roughly 900K+ visits, 4K+ favorites, and about 1.5K playing. Those numbers move. They only exist here so you know this is a live sim, not a pre-store page.
Launch was the loop. Awards and Update 1 are the patches. Play the current build.
If you joined from a creator ad (Kenzie Wright, Alexa Paul, studio tours), the live loop is still the five verbs, not a dress-up lobby. Enrol before you hunt cameo dancers. Train before you hunt Champion. The teaser promised worldwide comps; the live rules delivered them. Nothing in the August campaign said you needed a script or a paid routine slot to start, and nothing in the September patches changed that. Read getting started if you are still in the door, then skip ahead to Awards only after both Nationals marks exist.
