Run a Dance Studio The Roblox Awards
Once a week, limited entry, Champion title — qualify or watch from the lobby.
On 29 August 2026 Dance Interactive posted the flagship event: THE ROBLOX AWARDS ARE HERE. It is the biggest weekly competition in Run a Dance Studio, with separate Solo + Group Awards, a 24-entrant cap per server, and rewards that include Gems and a Champion title. This page is the rules post in wiki form.
Rules, copied from the studio
- Once a week, same time
- Separate Solo and Group Awards
- Up to 24 entrants per server
- Every entrant earns a reward
- Top 3 win Gems
- Winners earn ROBLOX AWARDS CHAMPION
- You have to qualify: compete in 1 Solo Nationals + 1 Group Nationals first
- Train dancers, perfect routines, get costumes ready
- Sign-ups go fast
That is not a fan summary. That is the post. How-to for the underlying comps: competitions. Clocks and a packing list: Awards schedule.
Times (one window, three labels)
- Sydney: Sunday 9:30 AM AEST
- Los Angeles: Saturday 4:30 PM PDT
- New York: Saturday 7:30 PM EDT
These are the same moment. If you treat them as three shows you will miss the only lobby. Contemporary Open has already appeared on a later Awards graphic — bring a matching piece from the styles list.
Why 24 is small
Servers hold 10 people, but Awards still cap 24 entrants per server as a competition instance. Either way, it is not an open flood. Qualification plus speed is the skill. Sitting in a 10-player social server does not reserve you a slot.
Rewards and the economy
Entrant gifts make Awards a Gem source even when you do not podium. Top 3 Gems are the spike. Champion is the screenshot. None of that replaces enrolment Cash — earn cash and gems — but it is the best documented Gem payout in the game.
Qualification in practice
You cannot “just show up.” You need both Nationals types on the account. That forces a solo and a group routine. It also forces training. The packing list is the official post’s last lines, not this wiki nagging you.
If your name is hashtags, you can still enter, but nobody can cheer you. Fix it before you care about Champion — getting started.
Guest judges and extras
Shannon Atkins was billed as a special guest appearance around 2 September. Fun marketing. Your scores still come from the in-game path. Diamond Dance Extravaganza was teased next to the formations post as another show to be ready for. When it gets a clock, it will get a row on the schedule. Until then, Awards is the weekly you plan around.
After the show
Screenshot the title if you got it. Spend Top 3 Gems on teachers or missing roster roles, not a panic costume. Read the leaderboard to see whether Elite Superstars still own the graphic. Then go back to weekday Nationals so next week’s qualification is already done.
The Awards are the product. Everything else in the sim exists to get you into that 24.
If you qualified and still missed sign-up, treat it as a logistics fail, not a roster fail. The next week is already on the calendar. Use the extra days to add a formation change, not to reset the studio. Champion titles screenshot well; empty second stories do not. Keep the packing list on the schedule and the style pick on the styles list so Friday is assembly, not research.
